Tatuaje, which means tattoo in Spanish, is the brainchild of Pete Johnson. It’s more than just a cigar company — it’s a LA-based lifestyle company that reaches into Cigars, Wine, Music, Fashion and Travel. Pete’s mission is to make a boutique brand of cigars to cater to the refined palates of today’s modern cigar enthusiasts.
To execute his vision, Pete teamed up with famed master blender Don ‘Pepin’ Garcia in the mid 2000’s, at the very beginning of Garcia’s rise to prominence, and the rest is history. (Pete’s relationship with the Garcia family is so rich that ended up marrying Garcia’s daughter.) The result is countless 90-plus rated tobacco blends with a full-bodied reputation, while having enough versatility to dabble in subtle and creamy, medium-bodied handmade cigars from time to time.
