Owned and operated by the Bowen family of Ayden, NC, Privateer was founded in 2004, but the Bowen family’s roots in the tobacco trade extend back over a century. The Bowens have been involved in every aspect of the tobacco industry from growing some of the world’s finest flue-cured tobacco to selling, warehousing and shipping of all tobacco types.

While The Good Stuff is labeled as pipe tobacco, it is widely used by people all over the country to roll their own cigarettes (RYO). However, The Good Stuff is often used by pipe smokers, either by itself or blended, to create the perfect flavor and strength profile.
