If you’ve kept up at all with what’s happening in American pipe making recently, the name BriarWorks International (BWI) should be a familiar one. Headed up by pipe makers Todd Johnson and Pete Prevost, the BWI team has already changed the game for factory-produced pipes in just over a year or so. They have an appreciation for tradition, but they’re also willing to take a more innovative approach — pushing the boundaries of what we consider the norm, or even possible for that matter. The response was an immediate “yes,” then, when the BWI team asked Cornell & Diehl to create a line of unique, small-batch blends in their honor earlier this year.
Not only are these first three blends quite unique in composition and flavor, but they also required something of a departure from the norm. To evoke the southern inspiration behind each mixture, each BriarWorks tobacco has been packaged in a quaint, boutique style: a 2oz. mason jar with an old-school label — packaged perfectly for aging!
