For the fourth time, Villiger turns its hand to the old calendar, marking the passing of years not with numbers, but with animals that carry their own weight of story and meaning. This time it is the Horse — restless, strong, and made for distance. Yet this cigar, like a tale told across the ocean, will not find its way to American shores as it was created strictly for Asian markets. Due to our strong relationship with Villiger, we got exclusive access to this otherwise unavailable cigar.

The Villiger Year Of The Horse is a 6 x 52 Torpedo, wrapped in a dark Ecuadorian Habano leaf, rich and oily to the touch. Beneath wrapper is a San Andrés binder from Mexico and fillers grown in the rich soils of Nicaragua. It is made in the Villiger de Nicaragua factory — owned by Villiger, though guided in its making by the steady hands of Joya de Nicaragua.
Each cigar will carry a price of $25.00, and there will be but 1000 boxes of 10 cigars resting in each. A vast majority of the production is bound for the markets of Asia, where they will be smoked and remembered, while here they remain only a story of something just out of reach for most Americans.
