NEW From Peterson

Peterson of Dublin continues to celebrate their 160th anniversary with a couple of highly limited edition pipes, all sporting their special anniversary year MADE IN IRELAND 2025 1865-2025 stamp.

Peterson 2025

First, we have a special run of Dracula Silver Mounted Spigots, featuring the exquisite work of Peterson’s silversmiths. In addition to the typical hallmarking and Peterson name, the mounts are hand embossed with DRACULA (and a bat) on the shank band and PETERSON DUBLIN on the stem band.

For this project, all of the Dracula pipes are sandblasted, finished with coal black stain and come with a black and blood red stem with fishtail bit. Highly limited doesn’t even begin to describe how few of these pipes were produced across their various shape offerings. NOTE: This hauntingly beautiful tribute to Peterson’s silversmith work is not Peterson’s (almost) annual Halloween release.

MSRP: $230.00

For the several years, in anticipation the 250th anniversary of the Declaration Of Independence, Peterson has released a tribute pipe celebrating one of America’s founding fathers, Maryland’s own Charles Carroll Of Carrollton. Irish by birth, Carroll holds a couple of historic distinctions — the only signer who gave King George his home address (of Carrollton) with his signature (at the teasing of John Hancock) and he was the only Catholic signer of the Declaration (Catholics were discriminated against in colonial times.) Because Carroll was pretty much the richest man in the American colonies at the time, the Continental Congress made an exception for this Irishman to participate, cementing his special place in history.

For 2025, the 249th anniversary of the Declaration, Peterson has again, melded modern briar and ebonite materials with clay tavern pipe inspiration, creating a single demi-churchwarden panelled Prince shape in a variety of finishes. Across all finishes, only 249 of these numbered pipes were made. Pricing depends on finish.

Peterson’s Pipe Of The Year for 2025 is a throwback shape, rendered in the 02BB Oom Paul shape from the 1930s era. This muscular styling includes sterling silver banding and a P-Lip mouthpiece (these are not System pipes.) While the numbered production of 1000 total pipes were only formally announced in four finishes — Terracotta, Sandblasted, Rusticated and Heritage — like a number of Peterson’s special releases, you’ll find a smattering of unannounced finishes such as Rua, Ebony, Natural and Silver Capped. Each of these sought after pipes comes with a commemorative Irish Made tweed bag with a leather patch stating 2025 PIPE OF THE YEAR. Pricing depends on the particular finish you select.
