Fratello Cigars has released the third installment of its LIMITED EDITION DMV Series, the 2020 DMV MADURO SELECTION.
First introduced in 2018, Fratello’s DMV Series was created by brand owner, and former NASA Analyst, Omar de Frias, to honor the DMV (DC, MD & VA –with DE being added in 2019).
This year’s release features a 12-count sampler with three each of the District, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware blends, all four sporting a DIFFERENT Maduro wrapper. Omar is keeping the rest of the blend hush-hush. Production of these samplers has been limited to just 600 boxes.
“The DMV Series is one that is special to me, and I want each year to be unique and exciting,” said de Frias. “We decided that by including all four blends in one sampler, those that want to enjoy all four won’t miss out because of the state they’re in.”
The four blends come in the same size—a 6 x 50 Toro—and the set will retail for $141.90 with MD OTP tax (the base cost is $132 for out of state shipping). A limited number of FOUR CIGAR (one of each) sets are available for $47.32 including MD OTP tax (the base cost is $44.00 for out of state shipping).
Unlike previous year’s versions, all four of the 2020 blends were made by the Joya de Nicaragua factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. All the 2018 and 2019 blends were rolled at the Dominican Republic factory of La Aurora.
